Start by coming to a meeting (click here for information on where and when). You will see people just like yourself working to make a difference in our local and national community. Lend your support just by your presence, or volunteer for a committee. You will be welcomed as a guest, and once you see us at work and play, we think you will want to join.

Volunteering for the 27th Legislative District Democrats can be fun as well as provide a sense of community involvement.

Membership Benefits
Becoming part of the 27th LD Democrats gives you the opportunity to
make a real difference in our community.
Membership allows you:
- Voting rights at 27th LD Democrats meetings
- Participation as a committee officer or member, and
- A say in the shaping and framing of Democratic Party policy within the 27th LD.
Membership funds are put to good use, for example:
- Postage and mailing supplies
- Printing, copying, and office supplies
- Public speaker fees (rarely needed)
- Funding PCO training and recruitment
- Website expenses
- Publishing our monthly Newsletter
- Funding local Young Democrats
- .....and most importantly, supporting candidates for public office!
No funds are ever used for salaries. All members of the 27th LD Democrats are volunteers.
Communication within the 27th
If you want to be in the know about the 27th all you
have to do is sign up for our email list
which is how most of our communication takes place.
The Chair also communicates via
email when information needs to be disseminated quickly.
