The Washington State 27th Legislative District Democrats are active citizens who believe in the political process at the grassroots level.
We meet on the fourth Monday of each month (except for May and December) at 7 pm at the First United Methodist Church at 621 Tacoma Ave. South (across from the Tacoma Public Schools Administration Building). Enter our meeting room from the lower level behind the church building.
Town Hall Meeting on 2-18-2012
Our 27th Legislative District legislative representatives, Representatives Jeannie Darneille and Laurie Jinkins, and Senator Debbie Regala, held a Town Hall Meeting at Evergreen College's Tacoma campus on February 18, 2012. An estimated 300 voters attended. Our elected officials described the challenges of balancing our state's budget and wrestling with other important issues. And they fielded many, many questions and comments from constituents.
